| The Royal Ball |
| The night of the Royal Ball arrives and many of the rich and famous are in attendance. |
| There are also many eligible princesses.......as well as the common girl hoping to become a princess. |
| Inside, the Private Secretary briefs the girlfriend and moments later the Queen and the Prince arrive. |
| The girlfriend attempts graciousness but is soundly snubbed by the queen, who is now seething that this tart is yet again in her presence. The girlfriend, tired of the snubs, forgets her station and decides to give the Queen a piece of her mind, but is held off by the Private Secretary. |
| The situation cools down as guests commence to dance and music and reverie are rung in.... |
| The Italian Princess and her dashing escort are the first to heat up the night..... |
| As the evening moves along, the Prince is reminded by his mother that all these eligible and suitable ladies have been invited to the ball to meet him and thus he endures a long evening of dancing and socializing... |
| ...and wishes himself away from it all in particular, the cloying hands of the girlfriend and the cold hands of the mother, neither of which he seems capable of escaping. |

| And the two of them together is lethal. As they square off, the girlfriend gets her own chance at a snub to the Queen with a smirk and sarcastic curtsy before the Private Secretary whisks her away. |
| It is then that a dark and mysterious stranger arrives at the Palace.....and he is every bit as dangerous as he looks. |
