June 30th: Two more lovely photos of Will at 'The Hulk' premiere. A feast for your eyes: Photo 1 and Photo 2. Is it our imagination, or does Will just keep getting cuter? And how is that possible if he was already the cutest guy on planet earth?? Yeh, we're a having fan hangover from last week thus that gooey comment. But it's not like you all weren't thinking the same thing! Thanks to Meg and Non for the heads up on the photos. June 27: Okay so we are a couple days early - Will's birthday is Sunday. But we couldn't wait. However, before we bestow our wishes on the birthday boy, some presents for all of you Kemp fans as well. Peter in Los Angeles, a big time supporter of Will's work, found this beauty for us. It's Will at the Los Angeles premiere of The Hulk. You can check out the other celebs in attendance through cinescape.com. But of course, they pale compared to our stunner in his black leather. Thanks a mil, Peter. We would have hated to miss out on this smashing photo. Now, it's hard to know how to introduce this next photo. If we were flying any higher, we'd be neck and neck with a 777. Words fail us - yes, finally a way to keep us from rambling. So we will just say this. Thank you Will, with deepest gratitude, for this incredible and priceless gift. We are quite sure you know just how much it means to us. From Will. It's also hard to know how to follow up as well. But we promised no rambling. Our gift to Will, the renovation of his site, is nearly complete. The most drastic changes you will find are on this page and Will's biography. If we could have included the name of his kindergarten teacher we would have. In any case, we've already heard back a lot of positive feedback on how much easier it is to cruise from this page now, so yay! We still have some work to do, but it's just tweaking and such. We hope you all enjoy it. And we hope you enjoy it even more Mr. Kemp. Rumor had it that you dropped in from time to time, but it's nice to know it as a fact from you. So, on behalf of all the faithful visitors to willkemp.org, we wish for you a splendid birthday surrounded by those you love, and for everyday after that we wish you happiness in your life, joy in your work, good health and many blessings. Enjoy your short respite from movie making and have fun when it picks up under Mr. Idle's direction. (Oh to be a fly on the wall for that production). And of course, we hope you'll get a chance to put those dancing shoes back on soon, as we know you miss it terribly. Every one of us wishes you the very best in life and thanks you for the treasure of your work and the tremendous amount of passion you put into it. This is what makes you so unique to us and why so many are true fans now, and will continue to be, throughout a career which will be nothing short of brilliant. Happy Birthday Will June 25th: Yep, you are in the right place. As Will's birthday is coming up on Sunday, we've been trying to think how to wish him a happy birthday, beyond the obvious. So we've decided to polish the place up a bit as our gift. What else can you really give a guy who has got it all - breathtaking dancer, brilliant actor, truly nice person and gorgeous to boot. Luckily, this happens to be a one of a kind gift! Now, on to what you've been waiting for: Will's diary from the filming of Car Man. It's unbelievably good, loads of fun to read, and really helps give you a little more insight about Will himself. A+ Will. June 24th: We've taken a moment out from transcribing Will's Car Man diary to pass along goodies on some of our other favorite dancers. If you haven't already, zip on over to adam-cooper.com for some hot news which has a whole lotta fans jumping for joy and giddy as can be. Also an update on the Ballet Central Gala over in newsbites which brings in more good news on the Cooper front. A few nights ago, Mandy was in the audience, and at the stage door as well, for a performance of George Piper Dances. Check out her review on a fabulous night. We've also added a recent article with photo on the Boyz. Last but not least, Hugh Jackman, watch out. Billy Trevitt is giving you a run for your money in the 'nothing but a towel' department. If anyone out there is grumpy today, this will get you smiling and your heart pounding. Wow! June 23rd: We just love getting presents. And of course we are still flying high from Saturday's post by Will. But we also have something else really special to share with you. This comes from fair Ann of the UK (who gave us those great Adam photos) and who has been a big fan of Matt Bourne's, Adam Cooper's and of course Will. She's sent to us a copy of the amplifier, which was AMP's (Adventures in Motion Pictures) newsletter. This issue contains a film diary that Will wrote during The Car Man filming along with an interview. These are going to knock your socks off. So, be patient as we transcribe them. The diary will be posted no later than this Friday and the interview next week. And hugs and kisses to you Ann. What a treasure these items are. June 21st: Special Weekend Edition. Once again our dear friend Roy Tan has come through for us and answered our prayers with a new message from our wonderful Will, who is now back home in London, safe and sound. Roy, we've said it before and we will say it again - you are the best!! As for our Mr. Kemp....thank you a million times over for sharing so much of yourself in that message. We think you already know wk.org and those faithful visitors to the site, will always be there rooting you on in anything and everything you endeavor. We are a bit boisterous and maybe over-the-top at times, but it's because we happily lay claim to being your biggest fans. Some of us have been there for you since nearly the start and you better believe we are along for the whole glorious ride. Welcome home Will, we love ya! (And, oh yes, you know we have our fingers and toes crossed for E.Scissorhands.) June 20th: Double the pleasure and certainly the fun. We have great news from a very reliable source in the UK that Matthew Bourne's Play Without Words and Nutcracker! will both be running at the same time beginning in December. PWW will run an unprecedented 12 weeks at The National, which means that all of us who missed it the first time around and spent the rest of the year moping, will get to see it now. So if you are not lucky enough to live in the UK, start saving those pennies for that trip to jolly old England to see not one, but two of Mr. Bourne's masterpieces. It's like winning the lottery. We have lots of previous PWW stuff already on this site and are now working on a page for Nutcracker! to get you primed for the new season.. Now. Here is the not so good news for all Will Kemp fans. Will is not going to be dancing in either production. That is firm. That also leaves us with lots of questions for our fabulous lad. We are very hopeful that we will have a few answers relatively soon. So please stay tuned. This is not concept art. This is not a fuzzy Frankenstein in front of a blue screen. This is the real thing baby. Our very first bonefide cast photo from Van Helsing. Yes, it's of Abraham Van Helsing, aka Hugh Jackman, dressed to the teeth in leather (when isn't he?). But we think it bodes well that we might soon see at least the Velkan half of our Will before summer's end; maybe???? Thanks to our friends at Jackman's Landing for this nice catch. And speaking of men who fill out leather pants well, we've got a whole bunch of new photos on our Adam Cooper page. Most of these were sent to us by Ann who lives in the UK and has obviously been following the devil-may-care Mr. Cooper for some time, judging by one of the photos - that of a very young Adam. A big thank you to Ann for sharing those with us. Also, there's a note in newsbites about the Ballet Central Gala for anyone who might be attending. Personal note to Adam - wear those cropped T's more often.!! Finally, ah yes, the next inductee into our Swoonworthy Hall of Fame. This dancer is profiled by one of our website visitors and we are very grateful to her for introducing us to a young artist who will surely win our hearts, as he has hers, when we get our chance to see him perform. He is not only a brilliant dancer but a remarkable actor as well. Oh. One more little thing - he's quite gorgeous! Ladies and gents, please meet Mr. Robert Parker. June 13th: Happy Friday the 13th. Just a couple items. One more Swan Lake chapter for you, which also includes 'cliff notes' at the end - the best kind - Mr. Bourne's. We are getting down to the nitty gritty with just the last tragic but beautiful scene in the ballet left. Again, if you don't own this video/dvd yet...go buy it now. Amazon.com US or UK, both have it. It's also up for bid on ebay, great price. So, go. Do it now. We'll wait for you! The only news item we have come across is on Remains of the Piano and it is more on the money end of things. But if you are like us and have to know everything about anything that has to do with a movie Will is in, then check out ScreenDaily. Finally, the intention of the Dancers Who Make Us Swoon page was to honor other dancers, besides Will whom we love. We've swooned about Will on every other page of the website until we sound like lunatics. But we just can't bear him not being on that page because he really is, for most of us, the ultimate swoon (so to speak). Thus, he is now there; top dog, head of the class. Fair warning. Enter his page at your own risk. Unbashedly, sugar sweet, over the top fan gushing and nothing but. Don't say you weren't warned. Our next Swoon, by the way, is being done by a guest author. Yay! Her dancer is also from the UK and all we can say is: gulp!! We bid you a great weekend. Pray there is some news on Helsing and Remains and less on the movie Hellboy. What's up with that |
| June 9th: No news today, but we do have a little something for Adam Cooper in the way of a namesake. This handsome namesake lives here in the States and his 'mom', Carol, is a big Adam Cooper fan. So, Adam, everyone, please meet 'Cooper'. June 6th: Is that pronounced Frankenstein or Fronkensteen? No matter. Yet another enterprising photo hound has been sneaking around the Van Helsing set and has come back, not only with some more set pics, but pics of The Creature. Did we say ghoulish before? More like gruesome. Shuler Hensley, is that really you? Rumor has it that the lads making merry over at Creature-Corner.com have their grubby little mits on the much coveted VH script and will have a review of it as soon as today?????? Hmmmmm. Stay tuned. FURTHER UPDATE ON THIS: Seems that script slipped through those grubby little mits. Thus, on pins and needles we wait. And that's why it's called a rumor!! Mad dogs and englishmen. How about just one madman who is an englishman? Eric Idle, who as you know by now, is directing Will's next film, was corned back in February by Film Force. Here are his answers to their 10 Questions. Finally, no using that get out of jail free card just yet. We still have a couple more rounds of screen captures from that riveting and downright provocative jail scene in Matthew Bourne's 'The Car Man'. Etta Murfitt, our sweatheart, and Darren Fawthrop, who plays the sadistic prison guard with frightening perfection, are featured in this scene along with Will's Angelo. Next week, the second to last installment of the Swan Lake storyboard where everything comes to a head and the Prince pretty much loses his. Lovely weekend all. Fingers crossed for a Triple Crown Winner for those horse racing fans out there. Go Funny Cide! June 2nd: Positively ghoulish. And we'd have it no other way. Check out what this scooper over at Creature-Corner was recently privy to - actual footage from the film. He does a pretty good job of describing the two minute clip he and other theatre managers got to see. There is no mention of our Wolf Man in the footage, but then, they often leave the best for last!! Also on the Van Helsing front, crew up if you want. Ebay still has some VH crew t-shirts and baseball caps up for bid. Red-headed and red-hot! The next inductee into our Swoonworthy Hall of Fame is a first soloist with the Royal Ballet in London. Mandy reveals how one of the stage's most flexible dancers is also one of it's most charming. It gives us great pleasure to introduce to you: Mr. Edward Watson. |
