August 16th:

Two more pics from the 'Sexy Summer Soiree' that Will recently attended in support of Heal the Bay and Music Producer friend, Graham Ward. Graham composes the music for itrain (an internet based revolutionary personal training program).

Thanks to Heather and Mariela!

August 3rd:

In the midst of the blistering summer heat, how about some California cool?

July 2nd:

Lahiguera.net
has started a galería de imágenes for Miguel y William, including this foto from his biografía. I believe we all will have to learn a little Spanish before this film is released.

Good things come in small packages.

Thanks Mariela.

May 14th:

"A memorable
William Shakespeare" says Juan Luis Galiardo in this recent interview.  A 'lascivious' William Shakespeare hints the author of this very early article on the film. And a William Shakespeare who looks like he stepped off the cover of a romance novel. Oh boy.....

Todays's update brought to you by Mariela. Thank you
.

April 16th:

Cervantes and Shakespeare duke it out at the
Castle of Loarre.

M
y thanks to Mariela for transcribing this article for us all.

April 11th:

Here's a nice treat.  Visit this terrific website -
ArenaPal .com - whose focus is on the performing arts. There are quite a few fabulous photos of Will from his past productions.

A huge thank you to Nora for sending in this link.

April 9th:

The first photos from
Miguel and William have surfaced at long last.  Only one with Will in it, but a pretty darn good one - Shakespeare never looked better! Accompanying articles to some of these photos are being translated by my Miguel and William amigo, Mariela, and will be posted during the week.  Photos are from Diario del AltoAragon. Muchos gracias.

March 10th
:

It's getaway Friday. Here are
two for the road.
Thanks Mariela
!

March 1st:

Buried somewhere on this site from a couple years ago, is an article about a movie called
'Manhunt', which is about the search for John Wilkes Booth
after the assasination of Abraham Lincoln. Among those singled out as being great for the role of Booth, was our Will.  Well, the movie is now set to be made. Harrison Ford has signed on to play Col. Conger who led the hunt...and guess whose name came up again for the role of Booth...sandwiched between Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom no less?

February 28th:

More from Mariela. Article and photos
right here!

February 26th:

My friend Mariela has translated from Spanish, three articles she found on the internet, as well as one nifty photo.
The articles tell us a bit more about the film and the characters, something we are all clamoring for about now.

I cannot begin to thank Mariela for all her hard work on this but I think many of us would be lost without her as this film goes along.

One of my other good friends who has contributed so much to this site, Mitori, has sent along the link to the
Japanese Mindhunters website.  Mindhunters has finally opened in Japan and I am quite sure all those Will Kemp fans are keeping the theatres full.

Many thanks as always
Mitori.

February 7th:

Good things come to those who wait. So do great things.  One of my very reliable sources has given me three bits of great news to share with you.

One
- Will is a definite for 'Miguel and William' where he will play a young Shakespeare during the 'lost years' of Shakespeare's life; the period between his lighthearted comedies and afterwards, such dramas as Hamlet and Othello.  These four lost years, the film surmises, might possibly have found him in Spain where he would meet up with 'Don Quijote' writer, Miguel Cervantes, a friendship that would change him profoundly. He will also find time to persue a little romance. As you know, Will loves a challenge and in this film he will have to learn to fence, horseback ride and speak some Spanish. He has already been prepping for the role even while on tour with Pinocchio.  Filming will start the beginning of March, in and around Madrid, for about three months. I know we all wish him a great time and hope to hear from him while he is on the road.

Two
- in next month's UK GQ, Will is featured in a fashion spread. Boy do we love those. One day of course, he will be on the cover; and rightfully so.

Three
- 'Wind in the Willows' is set to come back at the end of the year and although there is no word as to whether Will is going to play the rakish but ravishing Ratty again, it's great news all the same.  We will just have to see what lies ahead for him this year.

January 30th:

IMDb
and Elena Anaya's official site have Miguel and William posted up. Will is listed in both, but I haven't heard anything official yet. Hang tight.

January 7th:

Two movie sites have started pages o
n 'Miguel and William'; Garth Franklin's excellent site, Dark Horizons, and the UK's Empire.

Also, my lovely friend Mariela, has translated an
article about the film that she found online. Thanks Mariela.  e

January 6th:

"To be or not to be. That is the question."
According to Variety, he already is. But alas dear friends, do remember,'tis not official until we hear  from the lad himself that he is playing the Bard in Miguel and William, the new Ines Paris film.  Keep thy fingers crossed. I have a couple more articles to share that have a little more info about the film itself and I will get those posted this weekend. And thus, since 'brevity is the soul of wit', I will close for now.  But if this film comes to pass....oh boy the quotes will floweth.

January 5th:

"The moustachioed Will Kemp is gloriously Gilliamesque as the child-catching puppetmaster Stromboli, stealing every available scene and giving the drama a much-needed injection of humour and malicious energy: 'What do you think this is? Pantomime?'" Read more...

Don't forget
- as if you could - 'Pinocchio' has been filmed and will be aired on BBC4 this Sunday, 08 January from 715pm - 900pm. Lucky Brits!!

Happy
New Year....

"Will Kemp was the undisputed star at the premiere of this new Christmas show in Covent Garden’s Linbury Theatre. He played the wicked puppet master Stromboli, prowling about with sinister stride, brandishing his whacking stick, and seeming to relish more than any of the other characters his speeches and songs." ~ The Stage

Three more reviews have been added to the
Pinocchio page as well.
Thanks to my secret helper for these links.

Well it's the end of 2005 and whodathunk it's here already. Will has had a year full of dance and high praise from critics and audiences alike; lots of travel abroad on press junkets with hoardes of adoring fans looking for that precious photo and autograph; new projects on the near horizon and best of all a darling baby girl for he and Gaby.

He passes this message along to us all:
