August 31st:

Some familiar faces.
Will has been joined by some fellow Van Helsing mates and Director Stephen Sommers for this week's premiere in Japan. Here are a few photos from a press conference yesterday.  WireImage also has a few up, including a very nice one of Will. Remember, you will need a subscription to see larger images.

Some more photos and a review from
The Soldier's Tale courtesy Dancing Times magazine.

Will hops into bed with eight of his closest friends
! And there's a photo to prove it. Would you like to see it?  Well, if you are a member of Friends of New Adventures, you will be seeing it very shortly. Yes, it's that time of year again  -  the newest issue of the newfriends newsletter is on its way. And I, being a stalwart enthusiast of  Matthew Bourne , New Adventures, and guest artists like Will Kemp, shall make my quarterly plea to get you to become a member as well.

It is looking good for Will to dance two HUGE productions for New Adventures next year - at least that's what he's hoping and planning will happen. And that means there will be a lot of coverage on those productions and the dancers in them.  The news, gossip and photos you will find in the newsletter will not be found anywhere else. And that includes this site. I will definitely tease about what's in there, but my lips are sealed otherwise.

So, please consider supporting Matthew Bourne, his company, (and Will) by becoming a member. Check out the
Friends Page over on matthewbourne.org for more info or you can always contact me with any questions. This is a perfect way to support the arts. Don't be left out.

Thanks to Mandy, Meg and Non
.

August 26th:

Mindgames.
Next chapter in the Mindhunters release date saga. According to Variety, Miramax/Dimension Films have decided that Mindhunters will not have a North American theatrical release, but instead will go straight to video, probably sometime in 2005. It appears that the UK theatrical release, which  is still scheduled for November 5th, and the various other international releases are still a go, at least at this point in time. You will need an online subcription to read the Variety article, but Joblo sums it up as well.  It's a bummer whoever sums it up though.

But....on a happier note, I've got lots of
Van Helsing related items to share with you.  This first group of photos come from a variety of Japanese websites. Will is quite obviously adored in Japan judging by the coverage he has been receiving. Yay to that.  The second group of photos come to us from a couple different Japanese magazines, with more to follow shortly.

And, here is the
Japanese one sheet for the film as well.

Finally, two more very entertaining
video clips have surfaced. Windows Media Player and broadband are needed.  The first clip is an interview with Will, where among other things, he is asked about his early years of dance; whether he enjoys dancing or acting in movies more; and what kind of woman does he find attractive??!!  The second clip has Will introducing a behind-the-scenes look at Van Helsing as well as practicing his Japanese  - getting better at it too. (very cute)

Lots of thank yous to hand out today to Winnie, Meg, Non, 'T', and Alan.

August 20th:

Wow.  Just.......
Wow

August 19th:

Quickie.
I received  a quick message from Will confirming that he is headed back to Japan on August 29th for the Van Helsing premiere, more press conferences, promotions and a special event at Universal Studios in Osaka later that week.

As for future projects, he  hopes to have  news for us sometime in the next month or so.

Many, many thanks for the update Will. Have a safe journey and a terrific time.

So lucky Japanese fans, keep an eye out for the handsome Mr. Kemp. Also, don't forget there is a Japanese fansite dedicated to Will which has articles and information not found on this site.  My friends
Meg and Non are the proprietors.

I will, of course, keep a look out for photos from this upcoming trip. I've been told that Will currently appears in several Japanese magazines, including some covers. So if anyone has a copy of any of these magazines that they can scan for the site, I will love ya for it.

In the meantime, here are some of those
WireImage photos from the first press junket.

My thanks to Alan.

August 18th:

You got questions?
DVDanswers. The most definitive look yet at the upcoming release of the Van Helsing DVD, which also includes a BIG look at the cover art.
Thanks
Nic

August 16th:

I don't think he'll have to bat those eyelashes to get what he wants.
Another photo to share from last month's Van Helsing press conference in Japan.
Thanks
Mitori

My interview article on Matthew Bourne appears in the August issue of the

criticaldance.com
magazine. Will is quoted in the article.

It's been awhile since we've had a
'Swoon', but if you are going to end a drought, this dancer answers the call every which way you look. Mandy Kent gives us the lowdown on one very hot Brazilian with a scorching career.  Meet Thiago Soares.

August 9th:

No word yet on Will's next project. But I do have one little bit on Will that comes from the interview which I did with
Matthew Bourne.  That forthcoming article will have a couple more things on our lad as well.  It's due out shortly. Will's article will be out in a month's time.  I will keep you posted on both.

August 3rd:

From Japan with Love.
Friends in Japan have come through once again.  I have another video clip from Will's press conference last month. You will need broadband and Windows Media Player to watch it.  Also, the actress with Will in the press conference, Yumiko Shaku, has her own television talk show and Will apparently taped a segment which will be shown on August 30th. So you lucky, lucky fans who live in Japan should mark your calendars.

Also from Japan, two photos to share.
This one from a magazine shoot and this one taken by a fan at the Play Without Words performance.

Thanks to Mitori, *T* and *FMT*.

Finally, I must congratulate my friends at
Jackman's Landing who were honored in the September issue of  Empire magazine. This is the mega mag for the film industry so it's kind of like winning an academy award for Best Fansite for an Actor.  Please check out their August 2nd news update for the details. (There's also a bit of
Van Helsing
news mentioned as well).  Bravo ladies. It could not possibly have happened to a more deserving or wonderful crew.
