11-26-02 It's hard to know where to start as I seem to have hit the jackpot on "All Things Will".  First, I guess, Lucy Cavendish may I please be your new best friend?  Lucy seems to get all the best interviews with Will.  And she has landed yet another fabulous and revealing one for we lucky lovers of Will. Here are a few highlights:  * Will turned down Armani for a lucrative modelling contract - which no doubt would have put his face in every magazine for months on end.  We grieve this loss, but applaud his integrity and priorities. * He still possesses a bit of the stammer he had as a child, but is working on it.  We all know he has a lovely (okay sexy) voice from the Gap advert.  *And, sorry, hate to be the bearer of bad news for some of you, but he appears  to be engaged to his longtime girlfriend.   Have I tormented you enough?  Okay, here is the article in it's entirety.  I have to thank Lily from the UK for passing this lead along to me.  I am hugely indebted to her for this find.

Next, it's official, we will all be howling at the moon when Van Helsing comes out. Yep..........
Will is the Wolf  Man.:

Will Kemp, who has had a stellar career as a member of Matthew Bourne's cutting edge dance company Adventures in Motion Pictures, portrays Anna's brother Velkan, who masks a secret, supernatural affliction -- when the moon is full, he transforms into the Wolf Man.  Kemp has danced the lead in Bourne's critically acclaimed productions of "Swan Lake," "Cinderella," "The Car Man" and "A Play Without Words."  He makes his feature film debut this spring in Renny Harlin's Mindhunters opposite Val Kilmer.  Kemp was featured prominently in the fall TV and print campaigns for the Gap.

How cool is that???  Be sure to read the entire press release for further info on the movie and the rest of the cast including the additions of David Wenham (Moulin Rouge) as a friar and aide to Van Helsing, Kevin J. O'Connor (The Mummy) as Igor and Silvia Colloca as the 3rd bride of Drac. For this heads-up lead I have Nic to thank (yet again).  I think I am going to have to start calling her 'Scoop' because she sure has a nose for news and how to find it. I thank my lucky stars for her.

So, enjoy the bounty of info about our talented and gorgeous Mr. Kemp.  And I agree with you Lily in your assessment of Will, looks and talent aside - he really is a lovely person.
11-25-02 Greetings!  Back already with more movie news.  Variety has reported that Kate Beckinsale has joined the Van Helsing family as 'Anna', a character whose family enlists the aid of the good
Dr. Van Helsing in tracking down Dracula.

And it seems to be a consensus in the movie sites I have checked that
Mindhunters release date will now be August 22nd.  However, Corona's Coming Attractions lists August 27th as the date along with this note:

November 14, 2002... The mysterious X tells us that Mindhunters is no longer staking out an April 4/03 release date; instead, the picture has shifted to a August 27 opening. Usually when a studio film opens that late in the summer, the general consensus amongst film critics is that the picture is getting dumped.

Hmm...

I'm wondering if "savvy" over at the Will Kemp Yahoo!group is rethinking those 2500 shares of
Mindhunters he just 'purchased' through the Hollywood Stock Exchange.

At HSX.com, visitors buy and sell virtual shares of celebrities, movies and music with a currency called the Hollywood Dollar®.The Company's Virtual SpecialistTM technology allows an unlimited number of consumers to trade thousands of virtual entertainment securities in a fair and orderly, supply-and-demand-based market. Buy shares of your favorite actors, movies, and music artists and watch their values rise or fall based on the success of their careers and personal life. Stocks soar with a number one film at the box office and plummet with a stay at the Betty Ford clinic

"savvy" advises that Will's name is not yet listed on the celebrity list but he has emailed them and asked that it be added.  You'll definitely want to buy early as his starbonds are going to soar.  Now, if I can only think of a way to 'corner the market' on Will!  Thanks for this neat find "savvy".

Also over at the Yahoo!group, some new fan art.  Here is a sample of new
wallpaper by Andrew D.  If you belong to the yahoo group you can find more work in the photo section at the group site..  Also, courtesy of Andrew, the full length version of "Stuff Like That" - the hot tune that Will grooved away to in the GAP tv ad.  The mp3 can be found in the file section.  If you would like to join the group click here.

And one last GAP item - some more
screen shots. So,  listen to the mp3 and look at these photos and you are bound to have a pretty darn good day!!
11-23-02 Ah, back in the saddle again.  I want to thank, up top, Pat and Nic and Jackman's Landing in general for the heads up on a lot of the following news. It saved me considerable research time and as always they put a delightful spin on their reporting.  Geez I thought it would be a quiet week while I was gone, but here goes:

On the
'Van Helsing' front, IMDb has added this film to their database now and right off the bat has confirmed Suler Hensley as Frankenstein's Monster but also has listed Will's character as 'Velkan'.  Exactly who (or what) Velkan is remains unclear.  The name sounds like something out of Star Trek though.  No Dracula for Will, in any case, as Variety reports that Richard Roxburgh (late of 'Moulin Rouge') is close to signing on as the Count.  And per jackmanslanding (via The Hollywood Reporter) Drac already has two of his three brides lined up.  These lovely 'vamps' are Josie Maran and Elena Anaya.  ScreenDaily reports that Stephen Sommers and crew are now in preproduction and principal photography will begin in Prague and various locations in the Czech Republic this January.  Will's UK agent advised me that Will is slated to start work on the film sometime in January and will continue through at least June.  Subsequently, he will not be taking on any theatre work up to that time, at least as of this moment. Please don't forget to check countingdown.com on 'Van Helsing' for additional info as they are a great source.

On the
'Mindhunters' front, not such good news is being reported by Yahoo!Movies.  Greg indicates that the release date for Mindhunters has been moved back yet again, this time to August 22, 2003 and that this may not be a good sign.  Problems with the film???  Let's hope not.  Certainly, problems do continue for the FBI trainees as yet another one bites the dust in the latest script pages (now up to page 84).  As always, thanks XiP.
11-22-02 Hot off the press!! I'm just back from my vacation and the first thing I came across is the new issue of People magazine with a great photo of Will and some new info on him.  I haven't had a chance to go through all my emails and check my daily web sources though I have seen some new information on both 'Mindhunters' and 'Van Helsing' which I will get posted in the next couple of days. But this fabulous photo and his comment about his first day of ballet lessons as well as the  producer's comment about his audition for Mindhunters just had to be posted immediately. Enjoy!!
11-10-02   According to Variety, another cast member has been added to 'Van Helsing'.  Does the name Shuler Hensley ring a bell? If not take a peek and find out why he is going to be a terrific addition to the cast and why he knows a thing or two about monsters.  And while Variety did not indicate what role Hensley would play, many are speculating it will indeed be Frankenstein's Monster.  It is also still not clear what role Will is slated to play.  Though the earlier Variety article teased with the word 'vamps' perhaps hinting at a vampire (or even the Count himself ?), other articles and websites have also bantered 'The  Wolfman' about as well.  It wouldn't be a stretch; I mean we know he can carry off the 'scruffy' look and he is more than limber and agile for those sprints and leaps through the woods! So whilst I continue to ponder the merits of Dracula vs Wolfman, let me also thank Nic from Jackman's Landing for the Hensley heads up.

Regarding Will's current project, the stage production,
'Wind in the Willows', the first publicity shot has been posted on the ROH website.  Also, take a look at the very young artist who is going to be conducting - Yuval Zorn, a mere 26 years old!!

I have put together some photographs from
Swan Lake, much as I did for 'Cinderella' and 'The Car Man'. I also added an interview done with Matthew Bourne regarding the casting of all male dancers as swans and addressing the issue of whether his Swan Lake is a 'gay Swan Lake'.  It's a good read, so scoot on over and check it out.

There are now 75 pages downloaded by XiPHiAS from the
Mindhunter's script. It's hard to keep up with this guy!  Thanks again XiP!!

Finally, willkemp.org, is going on vacation as of this Friday 11/15.  No computers, or so I have admonished myself.  Just palm trees, sand between my toes and bare-chested cabana boys plying me with tropical drinks. Of course I would trade it all for a ticket to London and a backstage pass to
'WITW'.   Hmmm...bare-chested cabana boys.  Let me rethink that trade for a moment.
So in case I don't get another chance to say it before then, Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it and best wishes and my gratitude to everyone who has visited the site, especially those who have emailed me with their kind thoughts and contributions.  It is hard to believe this site is only 3 months old.  I feel like I have aged 3 years inside those 3 months!  Nah!  All joking aside, it continues to be a labor of love elsewise I wouldn't be doing it.
Love ya Will!! You rock!! Take care everyone and safe journeys........

11-03-02     It's a beautiful, sunny, crisp, Sunday afternoon here in Washington, DC.  Perfect for a drive in the country.  Hope it's as nice wherever you are spending your Sunday.  How about a little 'auto erotic' cruise down the highway to Harmony, USA - a small town "seething and sizzling with lust and heat".  Can't wait to get there I bet!!  For those wondering where this is really headed, I am talking about the setting for Matthew Bourne's steamy take on Bizet's 'Carmen' and some images I have put together for those who have not had a chance to see the 'The Car Man'.  And for those who have seen it, a chance to remember just how 'hot' this show is...like you could forget!!  I have also put together a couple photos and an interview with Matthew Bourne from the Old Vic program. If you haven't done so already, please also check the articles and photo sections for reviews and other photos.  In addition, I have added a couple new links to interviews with Bourne regarding the production. As before, the video is available for purchase but must be reformatted. See  'Collectibles' for more information.

I am now working on a similar page for 'Swan Lake'.  But in the meantime, I have added a couple small
video clips for your viewing pleasure.  They are not nearly long enough, barely a whisper, but it should give you a feel for this beautiful and imaginative production which 'ruffled so many feathers' when it first opened.  The video is also available for purchase - details in Collectibles.

New
wallpaper for your computer, courtesy of Andrew D.  Please check it out.  And many thanks to Andrew for the site contribution and the nice work.

Cosmopolitan finally jumped on the 'Will Is Hot' bandwagon  - kind of late and with just a small 'blip' and an already published GAP photo.  As quiet as it is out there, publicity-wise, we'll take it gladly won't we?

Along that line, I 'heard' that Will is not doing any publicity right now while he is in rehearsal for
'Wind in the Willows'.  As much as I want to see  his face and information on him plastered everywhere for my own greedy consumption of 'All things Will',  I truly respect his integrity and the fact he is not just another publicity-seeking egomaniac out to make a big name for himself.  Just another reason to love this guy!!  (Not that any of us needed another reason.)

Please check out the updated links section. Be sure to go back there from time to time as I am in the process of getting linked up to other sites which have or will have info on Will and his movies and stage productions.
I am working on the 'Cinderella' and 'Swan Lake' photo sections now.  Speaking of which,  please bear with me on the photo section.  Eventually it will be revamped completely - thumbnails and better organized etc. But I am a one-woman wrecking crew right now plodding my way through this web business.  I'd rather you have what you are looking for than wait for me to figure it out nice and 'purty' like.  And on that note amigos -  happy trails until later this week!!
