From what we can gather the show was charming, family friendly, a shear delight and an enormous success. It was even filmed by the BBC. Fingers crossed it gets broadcast across the world and gets a good DVD release! The Independent ”Will Kemp is a charming narrator, confiding and energetic.” The Telegraph ”Kemp (as the Grandfather) has a winningly wrongfooting fusion of headmasterly grouchiness and physical dexterity.” musicOMH **** (4 Stars) London Evening Standard **** (4 Stars) The Guardian ”Equally family-friendly…” The British Theatre Guide “The dancing is lovely…” “Actor-Dancer Will Kemp in good voice as the Narrator Grandfather…” The Daily Express ”Grandfather/Narrator (Will Kemp) and Wolf (Sergei Polunin) strut their stuff magnificently - Kemp is Jackanory camp…”

Will (with a full white beard, blue hair, cape and cane!) and the cast of Peter & The Wolf opened at The Royal Opera House yesterday evening and have already received a positive response from Mark Ronan’s Theatre Review & The Stage! The Independent has a nice preview piece about The Royal Ballet Students involved in the production & Ballet.co.uk have some of the first images of Will as The Grandfather! We here @ willkemp.org wish everyone concerned in the production an enjoyable and successful time at the Opera House in London. For those of you lucky enough to be going to see this delightful show - Enjoy!

The Royal Opera House has Will listed as Narrator for their Production of “Peter and The Wolf” in the Main Auditorium this December! The piece is choreographed by Matthew Hart (a regular performing colleague of Will’s), designs are by the late Ian Spurling and it is set to the famous musical score by Prokofiev. Our research tells us that the piece was first performed around 1995 in honor of Sir Peter Wright (then Director of Birmingham Royal Ballet) and The Narrator/Grandfather was played by Sir Anthony Dowell (then Director of The Royal Ballet). This will mark the first time that Will has returned to the Main Stage since leaving the Royal Ballet School where he most notably performed, among other roles, The Gypsy Lover in Sir Frederick Ashton’s “Two Pigeons”. The piece runs in a double bill along with the Royal Ballet Company’s “Beatrix Potter” and (if you are lucky enough to get a ticket) will prove to be a wonderful event for the whole family!

Last week saw “Miss Lilly Gets Boned” have it’s official World Premiere at The Finborough Theatre, in London. So far The Guardian and What’s on stage have given it a respectable 3/5 stars. Commenting on the play being “Excellently acted” & “A lively production” and our Man as being “A Dashing Will Kemp”! Willkemp.org would like to wish (dashing) Will and the entire cast and crew all the very best for a successful run of the show!

Will’s official website has confirmed that he will be joining the cast of “MISS LILLY GETS BONED or The Loss of All Elephant Elders” at The Finborough Theatre in London from 22nd June - 10th July 2010. The site also confirms Will’s involvement in the BBC2 drama “Christopher And His Kind”. We at willkemp.org have also heard rumors that, while in Japan last year, a TV & DVD filming of The Soldier’s Tale was made! Apparently it aired New Year’s Eve on the Wow Wow channel in Japan and will be available on DVD soon. (We presume only in Japan but will keep you posted….)
